the Quad

Join the Community Service
Center and its partners in raising awareness for homelessness in our community
and around the nation! The night will begin with a panel discussion including
members from local agencies who work to fight poverty and those who have
experienced homelessness. Throughout the night, students will engage in
hands-on service projects to benefit the Tuscaloosa community and watch a film
on the big-screen about a homeless Iraqi veteran in America. At midnight,
participants can participate in the TOMS Walk Without Shoes. Then, students
have the option of rolling out their sleeping bags to spend the night on the
Quad to show that our campus is concerned about this issues of homelessness!
Sororities can earn 2
Panhellenic points for each member that attends this event!
Students can also earn up
to 10 community service hours for participating!
