MARCH NEWSLETTER: UA TOMS

UA TOMS is a new organization on campus that aims to promote the One for One movement. For every pair of TOMS shoes purchased, a pair will be given to someone in need.

UA TOMS will host the One Day Without Shoes event on the Quad on April 5. While the details are still in the works, the idea is to have two barefoot walks around the Quad (and anyone will be welcome to join in) with some additional festivities all afternoon.

UA TOMS wants this event to unite all students on campus and invite all of the campus organizations to participate, as volunteers, partners or participants. They will need volunteers on hand to pass out water, run errands and just be present--they are looking into setting up and SLPro project for students interested in volunteering.

Any organization interested taking a spin off of the ODWS idea and setting up a table or activity is welcome. If your organization is interested in being a part of our One Day Without Shoes event, please email Kellie Gentry or Maryalice Lazarus at uatoms@gmail.com.
